Zandra Foster Obituary

Our beloved, Zandra K Foster, passed away peacefully at home with loved ones beside her, on Monday, December 12, 2022 following her battle with renal failure, one week shy of her 74th birthday. Zandra was born on December 19, 1948 to George and Elizabeth Brown. She graduated from Rider High School, and was a life-long resident of Wichita Falls. Marrying Charles Foster in 1986, love of her life, they spent 34 years together before he passed in December of 2020. They truly showed their family how to live; fishing at Lake Kemp, frying up the weekend’s catch, and finishing the night with dominoes or wahoo. She loved the casino, her Dr. Pepper, and her dogs. Her travels, late-night stories, and eccentricities will be remembered fondly. The friendly voice on the other end of the phone, "Operator..." she would answer for 33 years at the North Texas State Hospital before retiring. Always helping, always telling it straight, always encouraging- that was just her way. As striking as her bright white-blonde hair and crystal blue eyes, was her no-nonsense attitude and ability to make everyone around her laugh. Blessed to know she is at peace are her son, Gary Miller; her grandchildren, Kristyn Strickland and husband Bill, Ashley Cuellar and husband Magnum, Brandi Miller, Mellody Middleton and husband Damion, and Gary “Bubba” Miller Jr.; 15 great grandchildren, Kaylie, Warren, Hunter, Benjamin, Serenity, Grace, Faith, Andres, Brayden, Colton, Dent’n, Jamie, Bentley, Bella, and Mason; sister-in-law Brenda Cate and husband David; her lifelong best friend, Wanda Sypert and husband Jerry; and countless more friends and co-workers. A Celebration of Life will be held on January 14, 2023 at 11am at Legacy Church; 1420 SH-11 Loop, Wichita Falls, TX, 76306.
