Obituary

Wardell Briggs, born on January 26, 1937 in Vicksburg, Mississippi to the late Theodore Briggs and Odessa Nash Briggs.
He was a dedicated member of the local 703 for over 60 years. He loved traveling, fishing, hunting, shooting pool, watching westerns and game shows.
Wardell married the love of his life Georgnia in 1969. As an African American entrepreneur he owned the First Street Pool Hall and was a well known member of the Champaign community.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Mrs. Georgnia Briggs, two daughters; Wardella Williams (Tony), Teresa Clark (Mansion), six sons; Jefferey Briggs, Dwayne Briggs (Velvet), Michael Briggs, Anthony Oden (Simone), Marcelon Mosley and Patrick Briggs. Nine special grandchildren; Jellnisha Mosley, Dantrise Mosley, Sparkle Thomas (Rev. Kerry), Natasha Briggs, Jefferey Briggs, Jr., Dwayne Briggs, Jr., Patrick Briggs, Jr., Monnee Briggs ,  Razon Briggs and a host of other relatives and friends.
