Thelma L. Russ

Thelma Lee Williams Russ  was born on January 24, 1937 to Bush and Inez Carter Williams in Paris, Texas. As a young child Thelma attended school in Paris until she later moved to Wichita Falls, Texas and completed her education. Thelma worked for many years at the Opportunity Workshop. She accepted Christ and was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Wichita Falls. 
Thelma departed this life on March 8, 2022. She was preceded in death by; her parents, her stepmother, Leanna Patterson Williams whom raised her from a very young child to an adult, her brother Jim Green, her daughter, Veronica Williams, grandson, Delray Yarbrough and great grandchildren, Michaela Baker, Tray’vean Jones. Also her best friend, Rose Webb.
She is survived by; her daughters, Cheryl Harris, Janice Yarbrough and Vanessa Brown (Arlandus, Jr.) all of Wichita Falls, Texas. Her grand daughters, Chianti Brown, Shameka Brown- Melton, Zekeeya Minor, Kieyona Jones, Shakeara Jones of Wichita Falls, Texas, Shareka Jones of Houston, Texas, Denisa Williams of Los Angeles, California, grandson, Arlandus Brown, III., Kentray Jones of Wichita Falls, Texas, great grandson, Kentrell Williams of Los Angeles, California and a host of other great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
