Thelma Eaden Obituary
A longtime resident of Wichita Falls, Thelma Jean Eaden, 85, sadly passed away on August 10, 2025, after an 8-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born in Midland, Texas, to Welvon Eaden, Sr. and Rethola Eaden, she was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Welvon Eaden, Charles Wayne Eaden, Curtis James Eaden, Annette Richardson and Milo Eaden.
A proud graduate of the Wichita Falls Independent School District’s Vocational Nursing Program in 1972, Thelma dedicated over 40 years of her career to health care. Through her tireless efforts, she demonstrated that kindness and empathy could heal wounds that medicine alone could not reach.
The passing of Thelma has left a profound void in the hearts of her family, friends, and the many whose lives she touched. We ask that you remember her not for the way her life ended, but for the way she lived—a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support.
Thelma is survived by her seven children: Donna Starr, James Williams (Carmen), Vivian Williams, Pamela Connally, Debra Williams, Michael Williams (Norma), and Rhonda Williams, as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Her beloved siblings, Lillie Eaden Jackson, Willie Ray Eaden (Beverly), and Roy Lee Eaden (Inez). Her greatest joy and achievement was her large, close-knit family. As one of the strongest women to ever walk this earth, Thelma was truly the head of her family, blessing them with her love and resilience.
She was an excellent mother, kind, hilarious, and witty, and she will be dearly missed by all.
