Tevin Marquise Thomas was born on June 5, 1991, in Wichita Falls, TX to Kerry Thomas Sr. and Lacresa Thomas. He attended Kate Burgess Elementary School, Kirby Junior High School and graduated from Hirschi High School in 2009. After graduating, he attended Truck Driving School in Mesquite, Texas.
He traveled to Austin, Texas to spend time with his favorite cousin, Marquise Goodwin, where he attended Austin Community College. While in Austin, he trained with his cousin to prepare for an NFL walk-on.
Tevin enjoys playing basketball and football, cooking (all over Texas), working out, singing, and spending time with his family. We all know he loves dressing up and wearing cowboy boots! But his favorite pastime of all was spending time with his children.
He referred to his older brother Kerry Jr. as “the person he admired the most” and “The
walking Bible”, because he knew the scriptures off the top of his head.
He had a special bond with his father; Kerry Sr and they hung out together quite often. He always made sure to spend quality time with his “Mama Best Friend”. Tevin took a picture of some food that his mom had made him and said, “dang, look at what I am eating and hanging out with my mom, man I love this woman”. He always told his mom that he was going to stay with her forever, and he did.
He shares 4 sons with Danielle Arias. His oldest son Derell, referred to each other as “Tev”
and “DJ the man”. He referred to his middle son Elias, as “Eli the Guy”. His youngest son
Devin, he referred to him as “Devin the Dude”. He loved playing video games, taking them to the park and helping them with their homework.
Tevin was a member of an on-line Bible Study Group where he recruited several souls to Christ. He was always helping someone and would give you his last. If he had it, you had it.
He was preceded in death by his son Ezrhya Thomas, his grandfather – Ira Joe Goodwin, and his aunt, Alicia Thomas.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Lacresa Starks (Shannon); his father – Kerry Thomas Sr; brothers – Kerry Thomas Jr. (Treauna) and Treyvon Cameron; a Step-sister – Dayanna Qwuarels. Children – Derell Thomas, Elias Thomas and Devin Thomas. Grandparents – Barbara and Billy Thomas; Billie Wilson. A beautiful niece, Empress Thomas. Sister-in-law – Sparkle Thomas, God sister – Khenya Rose; Godson; best friends – Rashad Reece, Donovan Barry and Eddie; a special friend – Francisca Garza and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
