TSGT (Ret.) Lawrence Holder, Sr. Obituary

Lawrence Holder Sr better known as “Squirrel” was born on August 1, 1941 to the late John Holder and Freddie Mae Jackson Holder in McClennan County, Texas.
He attended school in Mart, Texas Schools, graduating from Anderson High School and entered the United States Air Force in June 9, 1960.
Lawrence met and married the former Emma Sadler on July 2, 1965. Their union was blessed with four children. He was a wonderful husband and beloved father. 
He and his wife traveled the world throughout his military career spanning over twenty years. He received the following decorations; Air Force Good Conduct Medal with five oak leaf clusters, Longevity Service Award with four Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with three Bronze Service Stars, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with one Oak Leaf Cluster and Air Force Commendation Medal. He retired June 30, 1980.
He traveled the world and was a certified Fire Fighter and he was willing to serve the Air Force. After his retirement from the Air Force he drove fuel tanks for Northrop Dyn Corp Aerospace Operations for nineteen years.
He was an avid spades player, fisherman and dominoes player. He loved to dance. He also loved football, especially the Dallas Cowboys.
Lawrence was loved by all whom he encountered. He would help anyone and everyone that he could. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather and friend.
He was preceded in death by his baby girl, Gloria Jean Holder, his parents, seven brothers and three sisters.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Emma Sue Holder, his children; Lawrence Holder Jr, Bonita Holder, Bonnie Holder, Connie, Bill, Kenneth Jr and Misty. His grand children; Angela, Jennifer, Lawrence (Madison), Zella (Jace) and Kayla (Marquise). Great grandchildren; Jordynn, Joriya, Aamyia, Jeremias, DaKafer and Spud. His brother and sisters; John Holder Jr (Mary), Bobbie Middlebrook, Freddie Knight (Raymond), Zeffor Holder, Shirley Holder, and Mary Parker.  Special brothers and sisters in law; Carolyn Smallwood, Ray Sadler (Betty) and Kenneth Sadler.
