Ralph J. Syers of Wichita Falls left the side of his family at United Regional Hospital to be in his heavenly home with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 25. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, August 13 at 11am at Victory Baptist Church, Wichita Falls. Born on February 19, 1953 in St. Louis, MI to Raymond and Sylvia (Johns) Syers, Ralph was a graduate of Merrill High School 1971 and Maranatha Baptist University 1987. He moved to Wichita Falls, TX in 2003. As a former pastor, Ralph enjoyed telling others about his faith in Jesus Christ. He had a special love for his kids and grandkids and enjoyed family gatherings and cook-outs. He loved the outdoors, woodworking, and reading his Bible. Those who cherish his memory include his wife, Linda, and their six children: Jim (Violet) Syers, Dan Syers, Jessica (Christopher) Burford, Ray (Krystal) Syers, Marissa Syers, and Katie (Aaron) Wilton. He is also survived by many grandchildren and one new great-grandchild. Ralph is also survived by two brothers: Tom Syers, of Kalamazoo, MI and Ray Syers of Shingleton, MI; two sisters: Susie Duquette of Marquette, MI and Tammy Limon of Escanaba, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents along with his brother Tim Syers and his sister Sandy Criollos.
