Ophelia Williams Obituary
The moment that you died,
my heart was torn in two,
one side filled with heartache,
the other lives with you.
I often lie awake at night when
the world is fast asleep, walking slowly
down memory lane with tears
upon cheeks.
Remembering you is easy,
I do it every day,
But missing you as a heartache
that never fades away.
I still hear you fussing at us, your voice so clear, so strong- love wrapped in discipline, guiding us all along.
Ophelia, you were a fighter through and through, Surviving breast cancer 46 years; a living, breathing testimony of courage, faith, and perseverance through tears.
An Eastern Star, so full of grace, serving with an open heart, lifting others through your work and doing your part.
You poured into the community, helping children dream and grow, With the Boys Scouts and Girl Scouts, you helped their futures glow.
I hold you tightly within my heart,
and there you will remain,
until that glorious, promised day
When in Heaven we’ll meet again.
