Odessa Harper Obituary

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Ms. Odessa Harper was born on August 28, 1958, the daughter of Grady Lee Harper and Rozetta Miller- Brooks in Terrell Texas. She departed this life on October 28, 2021. She was in the class of 1977 at Terrell High School. She loved spending time with family and loving on her grandchildren. She managed and cooked at the family-owned restaurants. Her favorite pastime was babysitting small children as well as servicing both the community and the church by cooking when needed. Odessa also loved hanging with her twin/best friend Rhodessa. 
Odessa accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Terrell, Texas then later joined New Jerusalem Baptist church of Wichita Falls, Texas. 
She leaves to cherish three children; LaShonda Harper-Gardner (Robert Gardner), Stanley Harper and MeCole Harper. Her grandchildren, Finesse Lewis (Carter Johnson), Synquis Lewis (Solana Newton), Ulani Tidwell, and Jae’Quan Pruitt. Two sisters; Rhodessa and Jacqueline Harper. Four brothers; Grady and Danny Harper, George Hartfield, and Patrick Pope. A host of nieces, nephews, and very special family friends.
Odessa was preceded in death by her father, Grady Harper, her mother, Rozetta Miller-Brooks, two sisters Sandra Lewis and Rosie Harper, and two bothers Billy Harper and Randy Harper.
