Mary Birdine Obituary

Mary Ann Birdine was born in Liberty, Texas December 29, 1958 to the late Clarence and Mozell Crumbley.
Mary was baptized, attended and taught bible classes at Welch Street Church of Christ. She met and later married her husband Phillip Birdine at Welch Street Church of Christ.
They were joined in holy matrimony on June 23, 1979, also at Welch Street Church of Christ. They were married for 43 years and resided in Lewisville, Texas for the past 26 years. She also taught bible classes at Eastwood Church of Christ in El Paso, Texas where her family lived for 10 years. After moving to Lewisville, Texas in 1996, Mary taught almost every grade level during her employment in Lewisville ISD and touched many lives of children and their parents.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren most of all, but also enjoyed gardening, cooking, helping others, and taking care of her family.
In July of 2021, Mary began a year-long fight with gastric cancer and passed away at home in Lewisville, Texas on Saturday, July 2, 2022.
She was preceded in death by; her father, Clarence Crumbley, her mother, Mozell Crumbley and her sister Patricia DeGay.  She leaves to cherish her memory; her husband, Phillip Birdine, their two daughters, Jennifer Culpepper and Kristalyn Birdine, and  five grandchildren, Darryl, Evalina, Brooklyn, Liam and Nathaniel all who reside in Lewisville, Texas. Her brothers RB Crumbley of Spring, Texas, Lester Crumbley of Romayor, Texas, Danny Crumbley of Port Arthur, Texas and Richard Crumbley of Tucson, Arizona and a host of other family members and friends.
Her family knows her as one of the kindest and most sincere people you could ever meet. The spirit of Christ showed through her entire life and was felt by all who knew and loved her. She opened her heart and her home to many children over the years and she will be sorely missed by all.
