Kathy June (Harris) Campbell

Kathy June Campbell went Home on Monday, February 6, 2023 at the age of 62 after a brief illness.

A memorial service will be held Friday, February 10th, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at the Lake Creek Chapel in Archer County with David Ellison officiating.  

Kathy was born on August 3rd, 1960 in San Francisco, California to the late Rebecca Posey. She attended schools in Archer City, Bowie, and Bridgeport, and later Alladin College.

On December 16, 1976, Kathy eloped with the love of her life, LeRoy. They took their vows to heart, loving each other for 40 years. We are comforted in knowing that she and LeRoy are together again, dancing on streets of gold. 

Kathy was employed at the Archer City Dairy Queen for almost 16 years, where she found great joy in serving others and forged life-long friendships. She enjoyed all kinds of music, loved to dance, never met a stranger, could talk for hours, and wanted everyone around her to be happy. While Kathy loved her children, she would tell you that there’s nothing better than grandkids, and they brought her constant joy. 

Kathy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, LeRoy; mom, Rebecca Posey; grandparents, Jake and Juanita Allen and Sam and Emma Scheller.

She is survived by three daughters, Tareh Maxwell and husband Jeremy; Anna Black and husband Jay; and Lea Cot’e and husband Earl; grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Jenna, Sarah, Abbey, Bryce, Kaden, Bennett, Kinley, and Matson; sister Rose Holland; brother Robert Dink Harris; brothers in law James, Sonny, Rusty, and David; sisters in law Sharon, Teresa, and Lisa; her beloved Aunt Jean; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; best of friends Tonya Ellison and Tammy Coleman; and grand puppies Bear, Paisley, Midas, Duke, and Baloo.
