Bug’s Story


On June 24, 1950, God blessed us with Isiah “Bug” Geter  Jr. He was born in Spur, Texas to the late Isiah and Lizzie Geter.  Isiah worked as a roofer in his earlier years, mechanic and some might even say a street counselor. He was loved and respected by his peers. 
He was preceded in death by: his parents, his grandparents Willie and Clara Neil, his sisters Clara Alexander, Dorothy Strange, his brother Richard Jeter. 
Those that are left to cherish his beautiful memory: his wife, JoAnn Geter, his children Deraye (Raymond) Jeter, Tawaska Mickens, Isiah (June) Jeter III and Tanzie Mickens of Oklahoma City, OK., LaDonna (Marcus) Scott, Marie (David) Scroggins, Sheila Scroggins and John Henry Scroggins of Texas. His Sisters Thelma Barry of Virginia and Evelyn Vinson of Wichita Falls, TX. His brothers, Charles, Ray and Romeal Jeter all of Wichita Falls, TX. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
