Evangelist Roslyn Charles Obituary

Roslyn was born July 19, 1965, in Wichita Falls, TX to Frances Sheppard Griffin and Walter Griffin. She attended school in the WFISD school district and graduated from Rider High in 1984. She was previously employed with Telequest, Howmet, Luby’s and Sheppard Air Force Dining Hall.  She graduated from the University of Phoenix for business management in 2017 and ITS Beauty School Cosmetology in 2018. Roslyn was also an honorary member of Ainsworth & Young Funeral Home Staff. 
Roslyn was co-pastor and host along with her husband of the True Light Ministries on the Mission Gospel Train local radio program.
She joined Church of the Living God CWFF Temple #327 in 2012 under the leadership of Elder Millard Devine. She was acting Sunday School Superintendent, and she later became a Church of the Living God CWFF, Evangelist in October 2017.
She was a member of the Naomi Chapter # 2021 O.E.S.
Evangelist Griffin-Charles was always willing and ready to travel. She loved traveling to her church’s convention with her Elder and Sis. Devine. They traveled to Dallas, Houston, Beaumont, Amarillo, Oklahoma City and Tulsa.  She loved ministering to anyone in need of hearing a word from God. She also loved to praise dance!
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Frances and Walter Griffin, her sister, Karen Johnson, aunt, Sherrlyn Holmes, uncle, David Wayne Sheppard and granddaughter, Avionna Griffin.
She is survived by: her husband, Joezell Charles, her children, Ebony Griffin, Jeremy (Misty) Griffin, Garion Johnson, Frances (Casell) Johnson , ShaQuayla Johnson and Donniesha Washington. Her step children, Joezell Murphy, Jamaila Murphy, Joezell Charles, Jr., Joezell Robinson and Jamal Robinson. Her nephew/son, Van (Sheena) James.
Her sisters, Gwendolyn Willis, Chelsea Thompson, Tisha (Clint) Griffin and Rashida Branch. Her brother, Edson (Shannah) Griffin. Ten grandchildren and best her friend Sharon Bedford and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
