I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the
crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day and not only to me,
but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
2 Timothy 4: 7-8
Eula Mae Charles-Britt was born Eula Mae Harris to Luella and Will D. Harris Sr. on April 22, 1924, in Groesbeck, TX. As an infant her family, including her 3 older brothers and 3 older sisters moved to Wichita Falls, TX. It was there that Eula Mae grew up and created a beautiful life and legacy for herself.
At a young age Eula met her first husband John L. Charles Sr.(deceased), before parting ways their union was blessed with 3 children, Gloria, John L. Charles Jr., and Alberta. After her marriage to John L. Charles Sr., she met Marshall Britt and from this union, they were blessed with a baby boy, Therman Don Britt.
While raising her children Eula began working at Wichita Falls General Hospital and retired after over 30 years of service. Eula could not sit still long. After retiring, she decided to fill her newfound free time by volunteering at the Mission.
She was a faithful servant of The Lord, her ministry was to feed, love, and mother others. Mother Charles as she was called by her church family was a dutiful member of The Church of the Living God Pillar Ground and Truth in Wichita Falls, TX where she attended for over 60 years. Mother Charles served as an usher, was apart of Mission, sang in the choir and was on the kitchen committee. Her church home was truly a sanctuary for her!
Eula Charles- Britt was called home to be with the Lord on October 31, 2022, in Plano, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, 6 siblings (Will D. Harris Jr., Herman Harris, Booker T.
