Doris Johnson Obituary

Doris Faye Johnson, affectionately known as “DeDe,” was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on February 21, 1968, to John and Mary Dickerson.
At the age of 17 DeDe relocated to Wichita, KS there, she graduated from Wichita Public Schools and went on to raise her family.
DeDe had a nurturing hand and a healing spirit. She held strong to her religious believes and was a member of the Whole Truth Tabernacle Apostolic church. She worked as a phlebotomist, for over 25 years. Dede was well respected in her professional and personal life because of her dedication and values. She was a hard worker and a loving mother, aunt, sister and daughter. Always giving her all to support and make sure everyone around her was physically, emotionally, and mentally supported. DeDe was a strong woman that is loved and will be missed by many.
Her greatest pride was caring for her family. She loved her beautiful children and grandchildren with all her soul. She most enjoyed cooking and spending time with family. It really warmed her heart to see her family laughing and enjoying each other.
DeDe leaves to cherish her beautiful legacy her husband: Charles Johnson. Daughters: Brandi Dickerson, Deirdre Dickerson, Amelia Dickerson, Artisha Dickerson, Destine Johnson, Marquita Johnson, and Leighann Johnson. Son: Christopher Johnson. Sisters: Amelia Dickerson and Ernestine Dickerson, Cierra Dickerson. Brothers: William Dickerson, Lee Williams. Grandsons: Jarim, Brandon, Kenneth Jr., Ca’Mauri, Demond, Orlandis, Anthony III, Ashton, Zaelyn, Amun and Ja’air. Granddaughters: Brianna, Zariah, Bre’Ya, Makiah, Azaria, Damariyah, Ashlyn, Armani, AniaFaye, E’Moni, Samiyah, Shyaire’, Anari and Armani. Great Grandkids: Jamir, Jarim, Keilani, Jeilani. Special Friends: Sheila, Laverne, Sister Deanna and Demetrius.
She also leaves to cherish her memory, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and Mother: John and Mary Jo Dickerson and her sister, Cathy Dickerson.
DeDe was loved by everyone and will surely be missed by all.
