Deacon Bart “Eric” Williams was born February 7th , 1960 in Wichita Falls to the parentage of Roosevelt Williams and Marie Henderson. It was in Wichita Falls that he received all formal education. He was a graduate of Hirschi High School.
In 1977 Eric joined the United States Marine Corps where he proudly served his country and received an honorable discharge. Soon after he dedicated his life to the Lord, and in 1983, he married the love of his life Carol Reece.
As a young man Eric worked at Howmet and for the City of Wichita Falls. Eric was “Jack of All trades” andused his gifts and talents to help anyone he could. In his earlier years he practiced martial arts, and enjoyed time spent riding horses. He hoped he would soon be able to ride again.
Eric was a faithful servant of the Lord who loved to preach and teach the word of God and share his faith, and testimony with others. He attended Jackson Memorial C.O.G.I.C. where he was ordained as a deacon. Deacon Williams was a dedicated family man who enjoyed having a good time with his loved
ones. Eric was a beloved member of his church and community and was known fondly by many as “Cowboy”.
Deacon Williams is survived by his wife; Carol Williams (Wichita Falls, TX.) his daughters and son in law; Amber and Clearthur Wise (Long Beach, CA.), Mahagony Williams (Wichita Falls, TX.), and Tiffany Williams-Craig, (Wichita Falls, TX.). He also leaves to cherish his memory: his mother and father; Marie and John Williams (Wichita Falls, TX.), his sister; Susan Lewis (Wichita Falls, TX.), his beloved grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Eric is preceded in death by his father; Roosevelt Williams and his sister; Vickie Johnson.
