Cynthia Enesia (Griner) Jackson Obituary

In Loving Memory of
Cynthia Enesia Jackson
March 20, 1961 – October 4, 2025

Cynthia Enesia Jackson, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, caring sister, aunt, cousin, and treasured friend, entered into eternal rest on October 4, 2025, at the age of
65. She passed away peacefully in her home in Wichita Falls, Texas, surrounded by the love ofher family.

Cynthia was born on March 20, 1960, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to John and Mary Griner, a family rooted in love and faith. She grew up alongside her siblings, Carmen Griner, Lloyd Franklin, Floyd (Tangie) Franklin and John (England) Griner, Jr. Cynthia spent most of her life in her beloved hometown, where she built lifelong friendships and lasting memories.
From an early age, Cynthia was known for her vibrant spirit, her radiant smile, and her unique ability to light up any room she entered. She carried with her a warm and joyful presence that touched the lives of all who knew her.

She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Billy Jackson, with whom she shared a partnership built on love, laughter, and devotion for over fifty years. Together, they created a beautiful family, and Cynthia embraced her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother with endless love for each of them.
Cynthia was the proud mother of two daughters: Enesia (Larry) Weaver and Cherrelle (Kelvin) Hearne. Motherhood was one of the greatest joys of her life, and she took great pride in guiding her daughters with wisdom, care, and unwavering love. Her heart overflowed with joy as a grandmother, and she found some of her greatest happiness in her grandchildren: Jaiden, Kalib, Arya, Grayson, Andre Jr (Deuce), and Kelvin III (KD).

They were her pride and joy, and she delighted in attending their activities, celebrating their accomplishments, and spoiling them with her love. Cynthia dedicated much of her career to serving others. For more than 20 years, she worked faithfully at Sheppard Air Force Base as a proud member of the civil service. Throughout her tenure, she held several roles, including Tumor Registrar at the base hospital, Secretary for both the Public Affairs Office and the Base Chapel, and Unit Program Coordinator. Cynthia also served with great commitment in the AFGE Local 779 Union at Sheppard AFB, where she held the offices of President, Vice President, and Secretary. In every position, she was admired for her professionalism, kindness, and constant encouragement of those around her. After a long and fulfilling career, Cynthia retired—leaving behind a lasting legacy of dedication and
service.

Beyond her work, Cynthia lived a life rich in experiences and laughter. She loved to shop, always keeping an eye for the perfect outfit or accessory, as she carried herself with a style that was unmatched. She enjoyed traveling, often seeking opportunities to explore and experience life beyond her hometown. She was especially fond of family reunions and gatherings, where she could laugh, reminisce, and spend cherished time with her loved ones. Her sense of humor and silly personality made her the heart of any gathering, and her impeccable style made her unforgettable.

Cynthia is preceded in death by loved ones who no doubt greeted her with open arms as she entered her eternal rest. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, brother, daughters, grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Cynthia’s faith sustained her throughout her life. She was a woman who believed in the power of prayer and who trusted God’s plan in every season. Her life was a living testimony of strength, perseverance, and love. Her warmth, laughter, and love will remain forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. Though she is no longer with us in body, her memory will continue to shine brightly, reminding us of the joy she brought into the world.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this time of loss.

Today, we gather to celebrate the beautiful life of Cynthia Enesia Jackson. Surrounded by family and friends, we come together to honor her memory, share our love, and reflect on the
remarkable woman she is to us all.
