Rahsaan Nehemiah Bell was born June 15, 1984, in Wichita Falls, TX, to Tasha and Wilbert L. “Ricky” Bell, Jr. The youngest son of their union and the fourth of five children, Rahsaan was raised in a Christian home where he was taught the Word of God and the importance of living a life of integrity, strong character, and excellence.
August 28, 1994, at the age of 10, Rahsaan accepted Christ and was baptized by the Rev. David P. Williams. He became a member of Eastside Baptist Church and faithfully served in all youth activities, including the youth choir. From that time forward, Rahsaan lived the life of a quiet, gentle servant of God.
Affectionately known as “Skeets,” Rahsaan excelled in athletics, especially basketball and football. Throughout his educational career at Kate Haynes Elementary, Kirby Jr. High, and Wichita Falls High, he received many athletic accolades, including District Offensive Player of the Year. He earned scholarships to continue playing both football and basketball at the collegiate level, ultimately accepting a football scholarship to Midwestern State University. While there, he earned Honorable Mention Lone Star Conference All-South Division honors in 2004 and was named Lone Star Conference South Division Player of the Week on Nov. 2, 2003, and Oct. 31, 2004. Throughout his time at MSU, he valued the importance of education, a value instilled in him from birth by his parents and family of educators. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice in 2007 and later began his professional journey at Wichita County Juvenile Detention Center in 2010. It was during this time that Rahsaan developed his passion for helping youth. He was determined to see young people succeed regardless of their environment or their past. After 5 years with the county, he answered a deeper calling and began his tenure as a classroom teacher and coach in the Wichita Falls Independent School District at Kirby Jr High and Hirschi High schools. His work did not go unnoticed, and he was acknowledged as “Educator of the Year” by the Omicron Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated in March of 2024. 
After making a lasting impact in Wichita Falls, the door to a new adventure opened the summer of 2024. It was a collaboration Rahsaan and Eric Ward had talked about for years, leading him to take his coaching expertise to Lubbock, TX, as the Offensive Coordinator at Estacado High School. Rahsaan lived a vibrant life with diverse hobbies, including a short-lived rap career (LOL). He was the epitome of a true friend and valued his peer relationships. He was known to “quarterback” his core crew and orchestrate gatherings (although he usually arrived late) to ensure their bond remained strong. He loved his boys, but one of his favorite pastimes was spending time with his beloved Rottweilers Apollo and Adonis.
A little over three months after losing his father to liver cancer, Rahsaan, with his mom by his side, received a life-altering diagnosis of Stage IV colon cancer on March 17, 2022. From the moment he learned of his diagnosis, he approached it with remarkable courage, a resilient spirit, and a steadfast determination to keep moving forward. Standing faithfully with him was the love of his life, Mecole Harper, whom he married March 15, 2023.
Throughout the entire ordeal, he continued to astound doctors by defeating medical odds, including at one point, showing no evidence of disease. However, Monday, July 20, 2026, Rahsaan faced the sunset of his days on earth and entered his rest joining His Lord and Savior in eternity, while his loving wife held his hand.

nieces and nephews: Nai’lah Bell-Eaden, Darrell White, Jr., Jezeniah Bell, Nasir Bell, Aiyana Bell, Ezra Bell, Benaiah Bell, Finesse Lewis, Synquis Lewis, Ja’Quan Pruitt; great-niece: Solana Newton; great-nephew: Carter Johnson; aunts: Miosha Shaun McCann (Ardis), Rita LaBrie, Vickie Gwynn (Howard), B. Lorraine Russell (Gregory), Debborah Washington (Ternell), Teri Watson, and Rhodessa Harper, uncles: Kirk Bell and Michael Matthews, “sister-cousins” Kimberly Allen and Letisha Bell and “brother-cousin” Brandon (Lori) Booker, “317 best friends”, and a plethora of other relatives and friends.
