Beverly A. Calvin Obituary

Ms. Beverly Ann Calvin was born February 11, 1939, to the late Solomon and Cecile Calvin, in New Orleans, LA. Beverly accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age, she was baptized at Battle Ground Baptist Church, when the baptismal pool was the Mississippi River. She served as an Usher for Battle Ground before moving to Wichita Falls in 2005 due to Hurricane Katrina. She worked at Charity Hospital for over twenty-five years before retiring in 1997. Beverly enjoyed cooking, reading her bible and singing her gospel hymns while cleaning, or baking a cake. She later found joy in coloring, watching reruns of Rev. G.E. Patterson while humming her hymns and just sitting around with her family.

Mom- was the last of the Calvin girls. She was proceeded in death by her parents Solomon and Cecile Calvin. Her sisters Irma, Louise, Joyce, Delores and his baby sister and best friend Barbara, her beloved grandson Tyronne Lee Calvin, Jr., and her only brother Sidney Lloyd Calvin. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her devoted children, three sons, Tyronne Sr, Mark and Terry Calvin and only daughter Sharonne (Shaddy) Johnson.  Her loving daughters-in-laws Pamela and Valerie. Grandchildren, Shai’Monique and Mitchell Johnson Jr., A’Alahajania, Dejane and Jade. Five great Grandchildren, her loving niece Janice Waldon and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
