Augustine De La Cruz Sr. went to be with the Lord on March 20, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born on November 14, 1970, to Juan and Estella De La Cruz in Floydada, Texas. Augustine received his education through Vernon Public Schools in Vernon, Texas.

On February 28, 1993, Augustine married Priscilla Garza in Frederick, Oklahoma. That same year, he gave his life to the Lord and became a member of Shaw Sanctuary Church of God in Christ in Frederick, Oklahoma. Augustine was a devoted soldier for the Lord and a passionate soul winner during his early ministry. He felt a strong calling to minister God’s Word, served faithfully as a deacon, and found joy singing in the choir. He was truly a man after God’s own heart.

In 2000, the Lord blessed Augustine to start Bible Way Christian Fellowship Church, where many were led to give their lives to the Lord through his ministry.

Throughout his life, Augustine was employed at various establishments including Sonic, BTR, Goodyear, Samsung, and the Air Guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Estella De La Cruz, and his brother, Felipe De La Cruz.

Augustine is survived by his former wife, Priscilla Garza-Williamson; his daughter, Carrie De La Cruz (Kevin) of Rowlett, Texas; his sons, Augustine De La Cruz Jr. (Chanel) of Wichita Falls, Texas, Ronald De La Cruz (Evelina) of Fort Worth, Texas, and Jonathan De La Cruz (Lucero) of Wichita Falls, Texas. He is also survived by his siblings: Juan De La Cruz (Baby Jaws), Ernestina De La Cruz, Jennie, Melissa, Elizabeth De La Cruz, Lucero Sanchez, Angelica De La Cruz Maldonado, Elena Banuelos, Noah Hernandez, Frank Zuniga, and Esperanza (Hope) Madrigales.
