Martha Jo Moore was born on June 14, 1944 in Honey Grove, Texas to Henrietta Turner and the late Carl Bateman. She was a happy, loving, caring and family oriented person that just loved everyone.

Martha loved to laugh and clown around. She was a spiritual person and wanted to feed anyone and everything. But most of all Martha loved, loved, loved spending time with her children and all of her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter; Emily DeLoise Walzier, her father; Carl Bateman and her sister; Peggy Love.

Martha leaves to cherish her memory: her mother; Mrs. Henrietta Turner, her children; Jimmy Ray Sampson, Burnice Sumpter (Melvin), Gloria Mims (Pastor Johnny), Loraine Mabry (Darryl), JoAnn Smith (Perry), her god daughter; Diane Walker. Her siblings; James Chaffin, Charles Bateman (Wanda), Ray Bateman (Anna), Tommy McGinnis (Hulencia), R.C. Love, Edward Love, Cindy Burris, Jean McGinnis, Betty Johnson (Russell), Debra Benson (Ivy) , Theresa Love and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Also her extended family; The Harper Family; Rhodessa, Odessa, Rosie, Jackie, Grady and Danny.
