Debra Jean (Henry) Lewis

Reflections of Her Life

Debra Jean Lewis was born on May 22, 1957 to Elizabeth and Jesse Swearengin in Crowell TX. She attended elementary, middle school and high school in Crowell. She married Johnny Lee Lewis on September 22, 1971. She moved to Houston, TX., where she was an employee at Champion Paper for 7 yrs.  Later she obtained her CNA license and was employed in that capacity for over 35 years.

After leaving Houston, she moved to Wichita Falls, where she became a permanent resident.

While in Wichita Falls she met James E. Culp, whom was her life partner for 22 years.

Later in life, she met Jimmy Dupree in 2009 and was life partners with until 2017.

She accepted Christ as her Savior at a very early age, and would spread the word of God to anyone she encountered. Everyone that knew her knows that she was very kind, loving, caring, strong woman. She was well known for her huge heart, and her presence alone would light up any room. She is dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father; Elizabeth and Jesse Swearengin, grandmother; Sammie Glover, grandfather; Will Sillemon, brother; Jesse Ray Swearengin, sister; Dorothy Swearengin, Aunt; Ethel B. Cooper, uncle;  O'Neal O. Glover, cousins; Stephanie Harper and Milton Tennell.

She is survived by her children April Lewis of Electra, Johnny Lewis , Ebonie Culp, Xzabia Culp and Treven Culp all of Wichita Falls. Daughter in law, Teeshia Lewis of Wichita Falls. Her Grandchildren; Kalidocia Jones of Ft. Worth, TX, Kierra Jones, Kynyara Lewis, Kei'Iveyonna Thompson, Cyriss Knight all of Wichita Falls , Kei'Arianna Dickerson of Lubbock, TX, Antonio Chiles of Lubbock, TX, and Jakeelyn Culp of Wichita Falls, TX. Siblings; Sandra Atlas of Wichita Falls, Barbara King of Dallas TX, Patricia Mitchell of Electra TX, Symantha Murray of Lawton OK, Angelia Daniels of Wichita Falls, TX, Delores Swearengin of Ardmore OK, and James Carl Swearengin of Lawton OK.  She is also survived by a host of aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many lifelong friends.
