Reflections of His Life

Archie Edward Nelson, Jr was born October 7, 1953 in Jonesboro, Louisiana to the late Archie Edward Nelson, Sr and Fannie Marie Nelson (Lewis). He and his family relocated to Wichita Falls, TX where he resided until his passing. Archie and his late parents were members of Antioch Baptist Church in Wichita Falls, Tx. 
Archie attended Rider High School (Class of 1972), and advanced for a short time to Prairie View A&M University. His employment of 20+ years was at Prestige Paint & Body Shop. Archie also co-owned and operated the Everyday People Bar on historic Flood Street.
Archie was heavily known in the community for his loving spirit. He never met a stranger, nor was hesitant to help anyone in the time of need. His love and support for his family was without question and his actions were exemplified through his compassion for others.
Archie departed this life on Monday, November 11, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Fannie Nelson. 
Archie leaves to cherish his memory: 5 daughters; Lajuana Brown, LaSonya Belcher, Tori Smith, Sparkle Gulley and Darla Gulley; Godson, Garen Kelly; his one and only sibling, Marilyn Jackson (Nelson); his nephew and niece, Jerrod Jackson and Jocelyn Jackson; his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, extended family and a host of friends.

Romans 8:17-18 (KJV)
17) And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ, if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18) For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
