Nikkye's Story

Shanikia "Nikkye" was born December 19, 1990 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina to Latisha Brown and Wane Thomas. She attended school at Alger B. Wilkins in Fayetteville, NC. and when she moved to Wichita Falls she attended Kate Burgess Elementary, Kirby, Jr. High and Hirschi High School, graduating in 2009. At Hirschi she excelled in Band, playing the Clarinet and was a Hirschi Hi-Lite. Shanikia loved soccer and was on a team with Samantha Forester.

 She later met Jason Bryant and they have two of the most beautiful children, a daughter Xneyiah and a son, Demauriyonne.

Her favorite colors were black, purple and green, she also loved Tinker Bell. Shanikia also loved playing Soccer. She was employed for the City of Wichita Falls Water Department and the Backdoor Theater. Shanikia was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and was active in the Praise Team.

She will surely be missed today and every day until the sun is no more.

Shanikia was preceded in death by her grandparents; George E. Brown, Sr., Annie Brown and Joyce Williams.

She is survived by her children, Demauriyonne and Xneiyah, father of her children, Jason Bryant, Her birth parents; Latisha Brown and Wayne Thomas, Her parents; Bettye and Edward Williams, grandmother; Icyline Thomas. brothers; Dante Williams, De'Mareo Brown, Nautica, Chippel, Alonso and Antoneo Womack. Her sisters; Shaquita Thomas, Ahleeya Brown and Bianca Williams, uncles; Marcus Baxter Brown, George Brown Jr. and many other family members, friends, We love you.
